The National Association of Black Narcotic Agents -(NABNA) is a non-partisan non-profit organization of Federal, State, and Local law enforcement careerist.

Attached please find an application with pertinent info1mation for Scholarship Award(s) up to $5,000.00. These scholarships are sponsored by NABNA and are merit based for students pursuing professional fields of study in Criminal Justice . Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student who will enroll in the school year 2021-2022 as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with a major in Criminal Justice. The award may be· used at any institution to defray the cost of tuition, fees, supplies, or room and board. The selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • 300-500 Word Essay on, “How have the unjustifiable deaths of George Floyd and Brianna Taylor changed your Viewpoint of law enforcement? What do you propose to change the systemic problems on how white police officers view people of color?”
  • Criminal Justice Major
  • 2.5 minimum grade point average
  • School and community involvement
  • Letter of recommendation from the Criminal Justice Department
  • Full time class standing
  • Personal/telephonic interview

Please have the student email the scholarship packet to include an official transcript application, essay, proof of student full-time status, and letter of recommendation combined to crgibsonscholarship@gmail.com. Each letter of recommendation must be on official letterhead and include name, phone number, and email address.
